Body

Before You Start

Most devices can connect to the HWS wireless network. Your device needs:

  • Wireless support for 802.11a/b/g/n (standard on nearly all modern devices)
  • WPA2 Enterprise support (standard on nearly all modern devices)

If you're unsure whether your device supports these, it probably does.

Connect to HWS-Private [Linux]

  1. Open your wireless network manager.
  2. Select HWS-Private.
  3. For security type, select WPA2 Enterprise (may also appear as WPA2-Enterprise or 802.1X).
  4. If prompted for Identity or Username, enter your HWS username.
  5. If prompted for Anonymous Identity, leave it blank.
  6. Enter your HWS password.
  7. Click Connect.

Note: Linux wireless managers vary by distribution (Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.). Consult your distribution's documentation if the options look different.
