How to Add an Outside Number to Your Account
Adding an Outside Line to Your Personal Account
No Access to The Web Portal
- VPN into HWS network
- Open a web browser
- Navigate to voicemail.hws.edu
- Login with your HWS credentials
- Click Personal Settings
- Click the Phone Numbers tab
- Add the appropriate number to the relevant phone field; with this example we are going to use Company Mobile
- Add the external number you are using
Device type does not matter; this can be a cell phone or a home phone.
Make sure you add the area code in with your number (example: 3155551212)
- Change the Primary Device from Extension to Company Mobile
- Change the Primary Device from None to Company Mobile
- Click OK
You have successfully added an outside line to your account. When calling into the voicemail system (315-781-3113) from this number you will be recognized as yourself and will only be prompted for your security code to access your mailbox.
