Students, faculty, and staff can use the HWS Large File Transfer system to securely share files that are too large for normal e-mail attachments. This system allows sending files up to 2GB by e-mailing a link to a secure download Web site that the recipient can click to access.

HWS provides multiple ways for students, faculty, and staff to store and collaborate on files.

The online learning management system may be used by students, faculty and staff at the Colleges to facilitate file sharing, digital assignment distribution and submission, asynchronous communication, collaborative writing, and more.

Each HWS network user has an account login ID and password, or HWS credentials. HWS credentials are used to access the HWS network and resources such as file share, e-mail, online learning management software, IT service requests, and much more.

Space on Colleges' Web servers is available to HWS community members for academic purposes. Editing access may be granted to one or more people. Web sites are created under http://people.hws.edu/web_site_name.

The HWS network can be accessed off-campus by the Virtual Private Network (VPN), allowing access to the HWS network drives.

Productivity suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,and more for desktops, mobile devices, and browsers.

Public desktop computers are available throughout campus for all students, faculty, and staff to use. These computers, which are a mix of Mac and Windows, have specialized software installed to support teaching and learning.

HWS faculty and staff are provided with phones to use in their work spaces, including voicemail support.
