As of January 2023, the Attendance (Roll Call) tool has been enabled for Canvas at Hobart & William Smith Colleges! The Attendance tool is an app used for taking attendance in Canvas courses. The Attendance tool can be used for online or face-to-face courses.

What is the Attendance Tool?
The Attendance tool always appears as a visible Course Navigation link on the left side of your Canvas course. If you would not like to use the Attendance tool in your courses, no action is required. It is not viewable to students, so hiding the link in Course Settings is not necessary. Likewise, it is not possible to display this tool physically for students.
If you use the Attendance tool, students can view their attendance report through the Roll Call Attendance submission details page.
