Network Drives are used to store and access documents related to your organization by network users. These instructions are for mapping the network drives which will give you access to your or departments shared folder

M: drive: This folder is typically used to store personal files for faculty, staff, and students.

N: drive: Folders located in this location on the file server containing many subfolders for course, department, and work group file sharing.

Note: If you are off-campus you will need to connect to VPN before you map and access network drives

Mapping your HWS Network Drives

1. Open file explorer

2. Click This PC

3. In the menu at the top, click Computer

4. Click Map network drive

5. In the Drive dropdown menu, choose the drive letter

6. In the Folder field, type the folder location

  • For M: enter \\fsrv\yourusername$
    • Note: Replace 'yourusername' with your own HWS username

  • For N: enter \\fsrv\pccommon

7. Check Reconnect at sign-in

8. Click Finish

Note: If prompted for a username and password, enter your HWS credentials in the following format: HWSMICRO\username and password.

9. Click OK
