Body

There are many ways to share content while in a Zoom meeting. If you are sharing a document camera and multiple applications, different methods of sharing, can have different outcomes. Check out the Zoom guide on "sharing your screen" to learn how share your screen from your device. Regardless of which method you choose below, start by clicking the share screen button located in your meeting controls, at the bottom of your screen.

Synchronously Sharing the Document, Web Camera, and Applications

This option provides the best quality video from the webcam and is best if you would like your webcam on the screen at the same time you are sharing the document camera.

  1. Click Advanced
  2. Choose Content from a 2nd Camera
Note: If you only have two cameras, Zoom will automatically choose the document camera. If you have three or more devices that can be used as cameras, use "switch cameras" to choose the camera you want to share.

When you want to switch from sharing the document camera to sharing an application on the computer:

  1. Click Stop Share
  2. At the bottom of your screen, click the share screen button located in your meeting controls
  3. Click either the application you want to share or desktop
    Note
: Sharing your desktop makes it easier to switch between applications it will allow students to see everything that appears on your screen. If you choose this method it is recommended to close all applications that are unneeded for teaching, especially email and chat programs.

Sharing just the Document Camera and Applications

Sharing just the document camera makes the document camera the primary video students will see.

When you want to switch from sharing the document camera to sharing an application on the computer:
