Summary (what you get):
The HWS network can be accessed off-campus by the Virtual Private Network (VPN), allowing access to the HWS network drives. VPN access is available to faculty and staff. Installation and usage instructions can be found at http://access.hws.edu.
Note: Using a VPN connection means slightly longer loading and saving times for files on all network drives and sending and receiving e-mail using Outlook.
Service includes:
- HWS credentials
- Faculty and staff can use VPN on their HWS laptop
- The VPN software is free to download
- This service is available at http://access.hws.edu
VPN access for students, vendors, and contractors is available upon request through the Help Desk.
