In the event that you need to find a student's username and e-mail, you have two options: using the Global Address List or Canvas.
To Use Global Address List to Find a Student, Staff or Faculty E-mail:
1. Open Outlook and click on the People icon
2. In the search bar at the top of the page, type the name of the person you are looking for
3. When the person's name appears in the search results, click on it to view their profile
4. Inside the person's profile, you will find their e-mail address. To copy the email address click on the Copy Email icon.
To Use Canvas to Find a Student, Staff or Faculty E-mail:
If you share a class in Canvas with the person whose email you are looking for, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to https://canvas.hws.edu/ and log in with your credentials
2. Once logged in, go to the Courses section and select the course you share with the person of interest
3. Click on People. This section lists all individuals associated with the course.
4. In the search bar at the top of the page, type the name of the person you are looking for
5. When the person's name appears in the search results, click on it to open their profile
6. The e-mail address can be found next to Default Email.
