What is ShareLink?
ShareLink is a device that allows you to share content from your laptop wirelessly. Up to four users at a time can share their desktop, photos, and videos simultaneously for an ideal collaborative solution.
Where are ShareLink devices on campus?
ShareLink devices are currently being rolled out to all teaching spaces but can currently found in Classrooms that don't offer a teaching station, such as Demarest 123.
How do I get started?
To connect to HWS ShareLink devices, you will need:
- A laptop connected to the HWS wireless network
- The IP address and 4-digit code displayed on the room screen
- A web browser or the ShareLink app installed on your device
*Please note for Mac users, ShareLink software requires a one-time acceptance/approval by your computers operating system to allow it to screen share. Please contact the Help Desk prior to using a campus ShareLink system to confirm your computer can connect without issue.
Note: ShareLink devices are compatible with Windows, macOS, and Android devices, they are not compatible with iOS devices.
How to connect to ShareLink via a Web Browser
1. Confirm your laptop is connected to the HWS wireless network.
2. Select the button that says ShareLink on the classroom wall panel.
3. Connect your laptop to ShareLink via a web browser, open web browser and type the ShareLink’s IP address projected on the classroom screen into your browser's address bar.

4. Under WebShare, click the SHARE button (see figure below)

Security Warning: Your web browser may give you a warning of a potential security threat, this is a false alarm can be bypassed. (see figure below)
- Select Show Details
- Select Visit This Website

4. Enter the 4-digit code located on the classroom screen when prompted.
5. Your device is connected! Follow the browser or app instructions to share your content.
