Print Job Refunds (PaperCut)

Use this guide to submit requests for print job refunds when a print job has poor quality or when print job didn't print due to a printer error, jam, or similar reason.  Refunds should not be requested if it's human error (printed double-sided instead of single-sided, etc).

Before reading this guide, please note that students are able to request refunds themselves through if they would prefer.  They will need to wait for an IT technician to approve the refund in that scenario.

To process a refund:

  1. #Go to and log in with your HWS username and password.








  1. #Select Recent Print Jobs















  1. #Select Request Refund next to the relevant print job.  






  1. #On the next window, you will be able to specify the amount that should be refunded, and should add the reason for the refund.
