Faculty can leave feedback on any assignment you submit in Canvas, and your peers can leave feedback if it is a peer review assignment. There are two kinds of feedback that can be provided on an assignment submitted in Canvas: summary comments and in-line annotations. You can view both kinds of feedback in several different places in Canvas.
Feedback via the Home Page
- Go to Canvas and click on the desired course.
- On the right-hand side of the page, under Recent Feedback there will be links to any assignments that have comments on them and the first few words of any summary comments.
- Click the title of the assignment in question to be taken to the assignment page.
- Summary comments will show in the right sidebar. To view in-line annotations, on the right, click the View feedback button.
Note: if you have already viewed the feedback once, this link will disappear from your Recent Feedback section. The Recent Feedback section also shows a limited number of assignments, so if you have a lot of feedback that you haven't viewed yet, the assignment you are looking for may not display in this section.
