Public Desktop Computers

Summary (what you get):

Public desktop computers are available throughout campus for all students, faculty, and staff to use. these computers have specialized software installed to support teaching and learning. When using a public computer, please save your files to your network space, Box, or OneDrive.

New software is added yearly and upon request, if possible. Existing software is upgraded yearly. Operating system updates are done regularly throughout the year.

Note: Windows computers will restart every morning at 3 a.m. EDT to install updates. This restart will cause all local files to be deleted.

Library Computers

Computers are available on a first come, first served basis.

Remote-Only Computer Lab

Access can be requested by using the Remote Access to Public Desktop Computers form.

Computer Labs

Classroom computer labs are computer labs that have been designated for instructional use. These rooms are scheduled for classes and conferences and events. When a classroom computer lab is not in use, the computers can be used on a first come, first served basis. To schedule a classroom computer lab for use outside of a credit-bearing course or a conference/event, use the event registration system.

Service does not include:

Departmental computer labs, laptop carts, or other special use computers.
