Installing MFA One-touch Authorization App [iOS and Android]

You can use your mobile device, including a smart watch, for one-touch MFA authorization. This makes logging in when prompted for MFA quicker than receiving a text message or answering knowledge base questions. To use your mobile device for one-touch authorization will you need to have a lock screen enabled on your device. Use the directions below to install the app on your iOS or Android device.

1. Go to the app or play store

2. Search for SecureAuth Authenticate app

3. Tap Install

4.Tap Open

Note: Android devices will require you to verify your identity by using your device's unlock method.

6. Tap Connect Account

7. Tap Connect with URL

8. Type sso.hws.edu

9. Tap Continue to Login

10. Enter HWS Username

11. Tap Submit

12. Choose an authentication method

13. Tap Submit

14. Enter the Passcode

15. Tap Submit

16. Enter HWS Username and Password

17.Tap Submit

18. Choose a PIN

19. Tap Next

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) provides an additional layer of security when logging into HWS applications on a device for the first time. MFA verifies your identity by requiring additional credentials, like a PIN or answering a challenge question. Once the PIN is entered or the challenge questions are answered, MFA will remember your login on that device for 30 days. You will have to enter MFA credentials once every 30 days on a trusted device so that the security measure remains effective without too much inconvenience to you.
