HWS provides you with an HWS e-mail account which is accessible from most devices, browsers, and e-mail clients. Distribution lists and listserv discussion lists provide faculty and staff with more options, consistency, and clarity in communication to specific groups.

Emergency Assistance Stations are positioned across campus with a red HELP button and, in most cases, a blue light. These devices are both free standing and mounted on buildings. By pressing the red HELP button you will be automatically connected to Campus Safety's Emergency Line so they can provide assistance for any emergency needs.

The anti-spam junk e-mail system prevents spam mail from clogging up your HWS e-mail inbox, which reduces your chance of clicking on malicious links or having a virus on your computer, while still allowing you to control what is filtered.

The RevCord system records emergency phone calls for Campus Safety. All calls incoming in and outgoing, including radio transmissions, are recorded for liability and training purposes.

Faculty and staff are granted access to a non-credit bearing Canvas course site for managing groups of students, staff or faculty for administrative or other purposes. The course site is housed in a sub-set of the main Canvas system and is not connected to any Peoplesoft data feeds.

Each HWS network user has an account login ID and password, or HWS credentials. HWS credentials are used to access the HWS network and resources such as file share, e-mail, online learning management software, IT service requests, and much more.
